He started painting at the age of 16 as a student of Nazım Hikmet in Bursa Prison. The museum, which consists of the paintings of Painter İbrahim Balaban, one of Nazım Hikmet's comrades in prison, was opened to visitors on September 7, 2018. In the museum, the paintings that İbrahim Balaban contributed to the Turkish art of painting with his unique style and his personal belongings are exhibited.
