Namik Kemal Monument

epitaph;

(Front face)

'Liberty-Justice-Equality-Uhuvvet.'
(Back face)
'If I die, the fayzi I hope in the nation without seeing it.
Let it be written seng-i on my grave, homeland is sad, I am sad.
            Thanks to the influence of Kemal's cry of homeland, the homeland is today kamran.
                In your soul, O great son of your homeland, he is eternally glorious.'

Since the house where our great homeland poet was born, whose heart burned with the fire of homeland and freedom from the day he opened his eyes to life in Tekirdağ, was destroyed, it was built by Edirne-Tekfurdağ Deputy Mehme Şeref AYKUT in 1908 as a symbol of our people's feelings of gratitude during the constitutional period. It is a long marble column with four corners erected. On one side of this small monument next to the historical Süleymanpaşa Municipality Building, the words Hürriyet, Adalet, Müsavauhuvvet are written one under the other.
