Paragliding

Paragliding, despite the word parachute in its name, is extremely different from free parachute. It is as exciting and fun as it is, and it gives pleasure for every person who has been interested in flying at some point in his life.

With this flight device, which is translated as "paragliding" in English and "paragliding" in Turkish, it is not possible to jump, but to take off by running from the slopes. Those who are new to the sport and those who are far from the subject, usually make this mistake and say that they jumped with paragliding. Although paragliders have a parachute in their name, they have quite different features and structures from free paraglide. For example, free parachutes are used after jumping from airplanes or high places and then opened, and they are produced as shock resistant. Their main purpose is to land the paratrooper safely on the ground. Some things are different in paragliding. Paragliding, which is generally laid on slopes and cliffs, first opens and takes off by running after being brought upside down by the pilot. The priority in paragliding is to fly longer and stay in the air. Therefore, efforts are made to make longer flights during the production and design stages. Another feature that distinguishes it from free parachute is the name given to those who do this sport. The person who jumps with a free parachute is called a Paraglider”, while the person who flies with a paraglider is called a Pilot”.

In Süleymanpaşa Yeniköy, which has two separate jumping areas of 250 and 650 meters, you can watch the unique sea and forest view from a bird's eye view while gliding in the air, accompanied by paragliding instructors.
