Peace and Freedom Memorial Park

Peace and Freedom Park, located at the end of the coastal walkway, under the bus station, is one of the largest parks in the city. In addition to its recreational areas and pools, there is an amusement park and Tekirdağ Yacht Marina on the seaside.

In the Peace and Freedom Park, there is also the statue of Namık Kemal, the statue of the Hungarian Prince Rakoczi, who lived and died in Süleymanpaşa in the last years of his life, 2 women in Hungarian style, carved from wood, and dedicated to Mikes Kelemen, one of Rakoczi's men. There are sculptures made of 1 man's head.

The wooden statues mentioned were brought from Hungary, and there are Hungarian inions with runic characters on them. There are also plane tree saplings planted by the Hungarian president and prime minister in the park.

This park is one of the places where the city can breathe and at the same time it is the symbol of friendship bridges between Hungary and Turkey.
